Coastline Foraging Experience (5 hours)

Join me for a 5-hour Coastline Foraging Experience you’ll never forget—an immersive, hands-on journey into the wild abundance of South Africa’s shores. Geared for all ages and perfect for families, friends, or curious solo explorers, this experience invites you to sink your feet into the sand and wade into the chilly (sometimes warm!) waters of our rugged coastline.
The first 2 hours are spent exploring tidal rock pools and shoreline ecosystems, learning to identify and sustainably collect mussels, molluscs, seaweeds, and a few edible coastal plants. You’ll discover what can be harvested, what must be left untouched, and how to forage with respect for the rhythms of the sea.
🍽️ The next 3 hours unfold in the Edible Shores Kitchen, where you’ll help clean and prepare the day’s finds in an interactive, relaxed setting. This isn’t a cooking class—it’s an eating experience rooted in local flavour and creative and thoughtful prep work prepared for you in advance. Expect stories, laughter, and a deeper understanding of the ingredients that nourish both body and spirit.
